Christmas at Oasis Hospital

Children and adults gathered to sing Christmas carols and welcome the three Magi "wisemen" who arrived at Oasis Hospital by camel on Christmas day bearing gifts. The tradition is derived from the Gospel of Matthew in the Bible, the Christian holy book. Each year Oasis Hospital reenacts the story of three Kings who visited Jesus after his birth, bearing gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense. Each year Oasis Hospital chooses three men from the Hospital staff and the names of the men are kept disclosed until Christmas Day. This tradition attracts many people living in Al Ain each year as a way to celebrate the birth of Christ.
