The patients at Oasis Hospital also have needs that are not medical. These needs can be social, spiritual or emotional. An illness or injury can make these needs more important.

The Patient Relations Service can help patients manage any psychological, social, financial, emotional, or spiritual needs they have.

Our Patient Relations Service offers:
• Chaplain and Spiritual Support Services
• Patient counseling
• Family Support
• Financial Assistance for patients unable to pay their hospital bills
• Referring the patient to resources in the community
• Listening to compliments or complaints about hospital services from patients or their families

Our Patient Relations Team is made up of both male and female members. They all have good knowledge of local culture and language.

Chaplain and Spiritual Care Access for Patients
Oasis Hospital firmly believes that spiritual health is as important as physical health. During your hospital stay, you may ask for prayer from our staff or from the hospital chaplain.

Oasis Hospital provides spiritual support for everyone who desires such support. You are welcome to contact the hospital chaplain about the possibility of arranging a visit from someone of your own religious persuasion. In addition, our staff can direct you to the nearest mosque or church.

Patient Counseling and Family Support
An illness or injury can be difficult for a patient to manage. It can also create financial problems, family problems, or depression. Our Patient Relations staff and chaplain can provide counseling and support to patients facing these issues, and can make a referral to a specialist professional if necessary.

In the case that a family or patient suffers a major loss or emotional disturbance, Oasis Hospital staff is available to provide support and guidance as desired.

Charity Policy
Healthcare should be available to all who need it, regardless of their financial situation. At Oasis Hospital, we "remember the poor" and help the needy people in the region.

Although it is the responsibility of the patient to arrange for the payment of his or her bill, it is the policy of Oasis Hospital to try to help patients who are truly unable to pay their entire medical bills. Patient Relations staff can meet with a patient in financial need and, after assessing their financial situation, recommend some reduction to their bill, advice of other possible sources of assistance, or arrange for payment to be made over a monthly schedule.
