DAVID L. PRINTY

President and CEO

Since 2006, David Printy has served as President and CEO of Oasis Hospital, a CURE International facility located in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. Oasis Hospital is considered the birthplace of quality healthcare for the nation.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Printy was the founding managing director of The Physicians Academy which was a collaboration of the Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard School of Business, MIT Sloan School of Management and twenty-two medical schools across America. The purpose of The Academy was to review postgraduate training effectiveness and integrating leadership skills for the clinical enterprise. Mr. Printy has over twenty-five years of experience in top leadership roles at the largest public and private medical schools in America, along with their teaching hospitals and physician practices. He has won healthcare marketing awards in the United States, including the Biomedical Marketing Association Award of Excellence for Boston IVF, a Harvard-affiliated medical school teaching and research program. Mr. Printy is an innovator in quality improvement for healthcare and recently led Oasis Hospital to reaccreditation by Joint Commission International. Under Mr. Printy's leadership, Oasis Hospital was the first private hospital to receive Joint Commission International Accreditation in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Mr. Printy has pioneered the professional development of healthcare providers and administrators in the United Arab Emirates in cooperation with the Harvard School of Public Health and the University of Minnesota School of Nursing's Katharine J. Densford International Center for Nursing Leadership. His recent case study contribution in Nursing and Informatics for the 21st Century: An International Look at Practice, Education and EHR Trends, Second Edition is a result of his commitment to the advancement of nursing leadership in the region.

In addition to his role as President and CEO of Oasis Hospital, Mr. Printy served as President of the Middle East and North Africa group, American College of Healthcare Executives from October 2008 to January of 2011.

David Printy received his undergraduate degree in biology from William Penn University, and his graduate work in systems management was done at the Institute of Aerospace, Safety and Management at the University of Southern California during which time he also served as a pilot in the United States Air Force.


KELLY MARIE DAMON

Chief Operating Officer

Kelly Marie Damon serves as the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the oversight of hospital operations which currently include managing the transition into the new Oasis Hospital facility.

Prior to joining Oasis Hospital Kelly Marie worked as a Trauma Nurse in Canada. There she was involved in the process of moving from a 160 bed hospital to a 400+ bed hospital, an invaluable experience that supports her current role.  

Kelly Marie holds a Masters in the Art of Leadership from British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelors of Nursing from Trinity Western University, Langley, B.C.

Kelly Marie spends her free time outdoors, exploring wadis and scuba diving.

Dr. ARNOLD JACOBS

Medical Director

Dr. Arnold Jacobs  is the Medical Director at Oasis Hospital, in this role he is the chief physician and clinical leader of the hospital. He oversees the development and implementation of policies, procedures and best practices including facility compliance with the local health authority. He also maintains his practice as a Consultant  in OBGYN with a focus on obstetrics.

Before working at Oasis Hospital Dr. Arnold was a Consultant OBGYN in both Saudi Arabia and Yemen. He is a member of the Royal Dutch College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is licensed to practice in both Abu-Dhabi and the Netherlands. Dr. Arnold was educated at the Academic Hospital Vrije Universiteit both in Amsterdam and is fluent in both English and Dutch.

Dr. Arnold and his wife Esther enjoy spending time with their teen-age daughter Demi.

 


Dr. JAMES E. THOMPSON

Assistant Medical Director

Dr. James Thompson is the Assistant Medical Director at Oasis Hospital and is responsible for the daily operations and oversight of the outpatient clinics. He also continues to see patients as a Family Medicine Consultant.

Prior to joining Oasis Hospital Dr. Thompson was the Assistant Director of the Carilion Clinic Family Medicine Residency Program in Roanoke, VA, USA from 2003-2008 where he also held the academic appointments as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Virginia and the Edward Via School of Osteopathic Medicine.  He maintained a clinical practice where he performed full Family Medicine including outpatient, inpatient and obstetric care.  During this time Dr. Thompson spent three years as the Assistant Medical Director of two outpatient clinics where 40 physicians were employed.

Dr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Doctor of Medicine both from the University of Virginia. He was honored with the award for "Teacher of the Year" in the state of Virginia in 2005 by the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Thompson is married to Angela and is the father to three daughters, Meghan, Melissa and Moriah.

 

TREY HULSEY

Vice President - Patient Services

Trey Hulsey serves as the Vice President of Patient Services at Oasis Hospital. In this role he is responsible for raising the Christian profile of the hospital in the UAE and expanding Oasis Hospital's role in the community.

Prior to joining Oasis Hospital Trey worked as a Peace Development Officer in the West Bank where he oversaw development work with various NGOs. He draws on the experience he gained working in the developing world as Oasis Hospital works to help those in the broader Gulf region who can benefit from the medical expertise here at Oasis.   Trey holds a Bachelors degree from Gordon College and a Masters degree from Duke University, North Carolina, USA, both in the field of Religious Studies.

Trey speaks fluent Arabic and enjoys spending his time visiting local families with his wife Jessica.

 

BRADLEE KELLOGG

Senior Vice President - Facilities Management & Safety

Brad Kellogg serves as Senior Vice President of Facility Management and Safety.  This entails overseeing the Biomedical Engineering department, Engineering and Maintenance and working closely with the new building project.  Prior to joining Oasis Hospital, Brad worked for an oilfield services company in various technical capacities.  He has lived and worked in North America, South America and the Middle East.

Brad graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Brad and his wife Amy have two daughters, Aleksa and Kaitlyn.
