Timothy Fincher

Dr. Timothy Fincher joined Oasis Hospital in November 2009 to establish the new Ophthalmology Department which opened in February 2010.

Dr. Fincher received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas, USA, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. Additionally he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, also from the University of Arkansas.

He has a special interest in the evaluation and management of cataract disease, glaucoma, uveitis (an inflammation of the middle layer of the eye) and diabetic retinopathy (damage to the retina caused by complications of diabetes which can lead to blindness).

Dr. Fincher has published articles in many recognized journals such as: The American Journal of Ophthalmology, Cornea, and The American Journal of Surgery. He has presented to the American Society for Head & Neck Surgery, the Southwestern Surgical Society, and the British Oculoplastic Surgical Society. He also received the Humanism in Medicine Award for displaying compassion, sensitivity, and respect in patient care.
